Summer School - one week of rock!

Join us for a 1-week Summer School in August!

Inspired by our regular Rock Schools, we are pleased to now be introducing a 1-week Summer School. Our Summer School will run Monday to Friday on the week commencing 15th August 2022. Each day students will join us from 11:30-13:30 for a band coaching session. The week will then conclude on Friday evening with a show, complete with PA system and lighting.

Our Summer Schools usually end up with different mixtures of people to our regular Rock Schools due to it taking place during school holidays and running mid-week. That just adds some novelty to the week when, in just 5 sessions, each band will be producing something to perform for the show at the end of the week.

We welcome new students (individuals and bands) and pre-existing Rock School bands.

Venue:
Christopher Whitehead High School, WR2 4AF (Bromwich Road side).

Dates:
Sessions: Monday 15th August - Friday 19th August 11:30-13:30
Show: Friday 19th August 19:00

Cost:
£125 per student

Requirements:
Our Summer School is open to ages 8-18. We are happy for any standard of player to attend. We would need a drummer to be able to hold down one or two basic rhythms (nothing fancy!), a guitarist should be able to play a couple of chords and fret basic notes, similar requirements for a bassist, a keyboard player should be able to play a few chords and pick out a basic melody. There is no requirement to be able to read music. Please get in touch if you are unsure about anything.

Students must bring their own equipment.  A basic PA system with vocal mics will be provided in each room but all other instruments and amplification must be brought by the students.
